    DOUBLE LOWER GATEFOLD CARD TUTORIAL - PAULA SAUNDERS

    ·         12x12” White Cardstock
    ·         Circle Punch 1”

     

    Card size: 9cm x 15cm


    Step 1:   
    Trim your white 12x12 cardstock to measure 5 7/8 x 10 ½”. Place the long side at the top of your scoreboard & score at 3 ½ & 7”

    Turn so the short side is at the top of your trimmer.  Place the left side of the cardstock at 3”, cut DOWN until you get to the first scoreline.  Place the card at the 4” mark & cut UP to the second scoreline.


    Step 2:   
    Cut down from the top of the card to the cut lines.

    Step 3:
    Fold the left side in first then the right side.  If you can’t close it so it is flat then trim a tiny piece off the left side. Find the WILD SAGE UCP3056 paper (plain green side showing) & trim a piece to measure 3 ¼ x 5 5/8”. Adhere to the inside middle panel

    Step 4:
    Trim two pieces of left over UCP3056 paper (damask side showing) to measure 3 ¼ x 3 ¾” & adhere to the inside & outside of the middle size panel. Trim two pieces of the left over UCP3056 to measure 3 ¼ x 2 ¾”. Adhere one to the inside small panel with the damask side showing the other to the outside small panel with the plain green side showing.


    Step 5:
    Trim the SOFTLY SPOKEN UCP3052 paper to measure 3 ¼” x 5”, place the long side at the top of your scoreboard & score at ¼”.  Turn so the short side is at the top of the scoreboard & score at ¼” & 3”. Fold on the scorelines.  This is your pocket. Cut notches in where the scorelines cross over. Punch a half circle out of the top of your pocket then adhere to the inside largest panel.


    Step 6:
    Find a small flower bunch in the Creative Cuts pack, a couple of leaves from the Floral Fragments UCP3053 paper, a small bunch of green flowers, a butterfly & a pink acetate film strip from the Acetate Layering Ephemera pack cut in half, adhere to the front of the smallest panel.

    Step 7:
    Cut out a tag from the Cherished Details UCP3058 paper trim it down to measure about 2 ½ x 5”. Place in the pocket on the inside of your card. Decorate your card with some flowers from the Floral Fragments paper. Tie a bow from some white organza ribbon & adhere to the top of the tag
