    HIDDEN POCKET CARD TUTORIAL - PAULA SAUNDERS

    To recreate this beautiful hidden pocket card created by Design Team member Paula Saunders you can follow the steps below:

    Other Products Used: 

    ·         Paper trimmer
    ·         12x12” Black Cardstock
    ·         12x12” White Cardstock
    ·         Scoreboard
    ·         6mm Double Sided Tape
    ·         Liquid Glue

    Card size: 10cm x 15cm

    Step 1:   
    Trim two piece of white cardstock to measure 6 x 7”.  Place the long side at the top of your scoreboard & score at 3”. Repeat for the second piece. Place adhesive on the 3” part of one of your cards on the two short sides & along the side up against the fold line. Adhere the other 3” panel to the one 3” panel with the adhesive on to make a pocket. The pocket will be on the inside of your card.

    Step 2:   
    Trim a piece of black cardstock to measure 3 3/8 x 5 3/8”. Adhere to the front of your closed card. Find the UCP3042 Golden Glow paper & trim a piece to measure 3 ¼ x 5 ¼”.  Adhere the plain side showing to the black on the front of your card. Find the UCE2169 Botanical Foil Acetate & trim the silver side to measure 3 ¼ x 5 ¼”.  Place some adhesive on the back in the middle & adhere to the paper on the front of your card.

    Step 3:
    Find a large bunch of flowers, the word ENJOY, the HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner, three single yellow flowers & a butterfly in your Creative Cuts pack. Adhere these to the front of your card. Glue two Whisper Bloom Flowers to the front of your card

    Step 4:
    Trim two pieces of the UCP3040 Lazy Afternoon paper (wooden side showing) to measure 2 7/8 x 5 7/8”. Adhere to the front & back of the pocket. Trim two pieces of the left-over pattern paper from step 4 to measure 3 7/8 x 5 7/8”. Adhere these pieces on the inside of your card. Find the left-over wood paper from step 8 & trim to 6 ½ x 7 1/8”.  Place the long side at the top of your scoreboard & score at ½ & 6 5/8”. Turn so the short side is at the top of your scoreboard & score at 3 ¼”.  Cut on the lines shown below (image 4). Adhere the sides & bottom to make a pocket & slip over the pocket on the inside of your card.  This is your sleeve.

    Step 5:
    Find some images in your Creative Cuts pack & adhere to the inside of your card.  Find some images in your Creative Cuts pack & adhere to the front & back of the sleeve. Find the two medium green hearts in the Creative Cuts pack & adhere to the front & back of the sleeve.  This is the pull tag for your sleeve. Trim a piece of white cardstock to measure 3 ½ x 5 ½”.  Draw black lines with a Fineliner Pen. Find an image in the Creative Cuts pack & adhere to the bottom of the lines.  Adhere this piece to the inside of your card.
