The Colour Red

Carrying on with our little blog series focusing on colours, today we explore the colour RED!

Red is one of the three primary colours (red, yellow and blue) and some say it is the oldest of the colours with red pigment made from ochre being used way back in prehistoric art.

The colour red is associated with love, passion and energy but also with violence, anger and aggression.  It is also largely associated with warning and danger.

Red captures attention and evokes strong emotions.

Red is almost the opposite of blue in that it speeds up our heart rate, blood flow, and raises our .body temperature.

Adding some red to your layouts and cards will definitley draw attention and elicit emotions, so grab your red embellisments and get crafting!
