Instructions

1. Fold some kraft cardstock 5.5" x 8.5” in half to create the card base. Cut a piece of blue cardstock for the front panel which will be slightly smaller than the card base. Use the Stitched 3 Window Frame die twice with two different coloured pieces of patterned paper (I used cream and orange) – I’m going to use the inside ‘window’ pieces rather than the ‘frame’ for this card.

2. Stamp and colour two of the platypus characters from the 'You’re Weird' stamp set. I stamped the images on UC Watercolour Cardstock with Versamark ink and bronze embossing powder. I then coloured them with UNIQOLOUR Markers. When they’re dry, use the matching 'You’re Weird' dies to cut them out.

3. On the blue cardstock front panel, I stamped and embossed the sentiment using the same bronze embossing powder. Then I randomly stamped the bubbles all around the rest of the space using a light blue ink. This gives a subtle tone-on-tone effect which adds detail to the background without being distracting.

4. Now it’s time to assemble the card. Adhere the blue panel to the front of the kraft card. Then adhere two layers of the patterned paper ‘windows’ above and below the sentiment. Adding two layers gives it a shadow effect and brings in more colour. Then stick on the platypus characters with foam tape for dimension, and finish off with some enamel dots.
