Mini albums are such a fab way to use multiple photos especially holidays as I intend to use for this mini album for. If you have a cutting machine then you could use one of the many mini album options, if not here is a simple template for you to follow.

Take a 12x12 cardstock (colour of your choice and cut it down to 10.5" x 11.1"). I used a craft knife and bone scorer to add cuts and folds.

I used white cardstock as my base and then decorated using the papers from the Tropical Dreams collection. Mini albums allow you to mix colours and patterns as you can see here.

I love fussy cutting and here you can see I have fussy cut the gorgeous glass jar full of shells and a sea horse, a banner, the large sea horse coming out of the sea coral and tropical flowers from the journal cards paper.

I created an envelope and attached it to the middle, which allows me to add lots more photos, memorabilia or hidden journalling. To add a wow factor I created a sequin pocket using vellum and sequins from the kit.

I created some tags to fit in the left pocket adding machine stitching. You can see I tucked a tropical flower under the pocket edge.

I carried the sequin theme onto the front of the cover. I created an extra flap on the right side of the album by cutting a paper strip, scored and faded at the top and then attached, allowing you to add even more photos.

I added some glitter glue onto the sea green paper behind the Sea Horse. I also machine stitched a border which creates texture and visual interest.

I added phrase sentiments with foam tape to add dimension. I used the Textured Sand from a 2019 kit over this journal card to add more texture. I also added a 12" x 0.5" paper strip under this journal card which will then form a strap to keep your album closed.

I have used lots of the fab die cuts from this collection as well as fussy cut elements. I had already created three layouts before creating this album, so essentially I was using my ‘left overs’.

To finish off I made a paper bow which is not only pretty but it covers the handy dot I used to close the album.

I love how this turned out, this kit, Tropical dreams so perfect for a holiday themed mini album.
